Wilts, I think HDLG was responding to my post instead but put your name by mistake.

50 winners up , barely into July , if he stays fit then he’s going to him some number this season , I know I’m a stuck record but he’s a class act and in my eyes the nearest thing you’ll see to McCoy

I’m with you all day long HDLG. He’s head and shoulders above everyone else in the weighing room. His talent is second only to his attitude.

His ride on Booster Bob at Newbury last year cost me hundreds but I could only stay mad at him for about 10 minutes.

He’s that good he’s clouding my judgment any time I look at a race now as there’s always the thought in the back of my head “what’s Bowen doing riding for them???” When it’s a horse or trainer I wouldn’t usually give a second glance at!

An absolute masterclass on a maiden in the 5.55 at Stratford s , there’s nobody ( Inc the Irish ) anywhere near him , nobody else was winning on that

100 with a double up at Sedgefield( and on one of my cliff horses ) if he keeps clear of injury then he’s surely going to hit 200 for the season , absolute class

I think he is BETTER than McCoy. No disrespect to McCoy who is one of the best but I think Bowen has more strings to his bow.

Better than McCoy , McCoy was a freak though , the number of championship he won , winning races while injured ( I mean he was riding horses when others would have been in a hospital bed ) maybe best to say that he’s a mix of the best of McCoy and Walsh , he’s tough but he also gets horses to settle , he’s comfortably very comfortably the best nh jockey riding today

McCoy is stronger than Bowen , however Bowen has better hands , McCoy is always going to be towards the top with what he achieved , what I will say is since Walsh retired no one has looked so far above his peers than Bowen

Bowen’s numbers are just getting more and more impressive, and are getting into APMc territory. I don’t think it will be too long before JP comes calling, but Murphy is more than capable of being Champion trainer, if bigger owners start using him. Nicholls and Hendo are no spring chickens and won’t be around forever.

Nicholls ain’t going anywhere , Murphy has talent but he needs some graded horses , as for where Bowen should be … Nice ride on that Elliott horse at Chepstow today …

Elliott won’t ditch Kennedy, despite his injury risks and has Ewing. I grant you Nicholls has some very good years left but he’s 64 – Skelton and Murphy and Jim Owen are the next wave (and that other young Bowen has made a pretty fine start.
