Hermes Allen all the way for me, I think 11-4 is a grand price. He’s a bit small and I think will get found out in open company, but at this level without the Irish (I don’t rate Corbett’s Cross, maybe he’s a bit better than I think and looking for a soft G1 but he could just as easily be mark fishing) I think HA has a great chance. He jumps very neatly and should finish strongly over this trip.
I thought American Mike might come here, as Gerri Colombe did last year,but he doesn’t get an entry which means one of
a) he’s on the sick again and the bad run at Limerick was a recurrence of last year’s problem rather than the bug or whatever it was they all had round Christmas
b) he’s going to take up his entry in the Irish Arkle which will be the biggest piece of Plate plottery you ever did see or
c) Jack likes him and works with him so much that he wants to ride him in the longer race leaving Favouri de Champdou to canter round getting a bit more experience, perhaps with Harry Swan on top (or whoever is the NH chase jockey now).This looks a good renewal and with Le Patron two from two here that would be my pick.

I willing to take my chance with Djelo. Winning comfortably over fences so far. He fell at Lingfield, but that was not his fault.
