Makes nearly as much sense as Accrington Stanley playing their match tonight when England are on TV
March 27, 2015 at 10:39 #868372Nice one
Thing is , the racing for change idiots , actually believe that this is the way forward ….ushering all punters into betting shops, to lose as much cash as they can ….so the summer will be crammed with exactly the same
Is it a turn off for Punters …I dont honestly know . you would imagine it would be , but hell the bookies agenda has to be met regardless of any consequences
I really believe our game will be dead in 20 years time , simply because old codgers like me will have given up or have snuffed it …I cannot see any young people falling for crap like that …Football is much more simple
Will anyone change it
Nope

Are they? Might go and watch that instead of the tripe footie on TV
March 27, 2015 at 17:41 #8686101. What’s wrong with having five meetings on a Saturday when people are free to get out to watch them? Of all the Scottish courses the reason I took membership of Kelso was that race predominantly at weekend. Saves taking days off work.
2. Navan is in Ireland and Meydan is halfway round the world.
3. Give me the Accrington match over England any day.

1. Can’t some of them go Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon?
2. As the BHA regularly delay races for both Irish racing & racing in Dubai they must be important to British racing.
3. It will be interesting to see what the attendance is and how many agree with you?
March 27, 2015 at 18:23 #868634Worse still there are TWO all weather fixtures on the flat apart from Doncaster zzzzz
March 27, 2015 at 19:37 #868824Yes but .. don’t lots of people like to actually go to the races on Saturday afternoons?
March 28, 2015 at 21:05 #8698363 2YO races as well today, Chelmsford had some big prize money on offer but totally overshadowed by the racing elsewhere.
March 29, 2015 at 10:40 #870367I think the Chelmsford meeting would have worked better as a twilight/evening meeting under lights after Doncaster and Kempton had finished, maybe they’ll do something like that in the future.
