2.30 Huntington 2m4f Chase  £5,204
Favourite College Ace  (Hobbs/T J O’Brien and some 11/4 available on Betfair) looks worthy tissue favourite after his respectable Haydock Chase debut. Broken Reed hasn’t been tested yet and might just prefer it softer than this. I just can’t have Clouding Over while Wicked Nice Fella has started his campaign more auspiciously after becoming disappointing last season. Moment of Madness may be worth watching for the future.

1pt ew Nevertika – fc 16/1 would be lovely
Yeah its my typical e/w thief bet but I certainly don’t subscribe to the theory its a two horse race – i think its one horse race! No seriously though, it should be looking at 2nd or 3rd comfortably based on its winning hurdles debut. It ran in bumpers on soft and seemed to handle it ok and it ran over the distance last time. I’ll have to shut up now otherwise i might talk myself into a 2pt ew bet!
November 18, 2006 at 09:57 #68304FSL, thanks for pointing race out – is 3.1 on betfair value?
November 18, 2006 at 10:13 #68306The Reveley yard look to have found a good opportunity for Into The Shadows first run over 2 and a half miles. Likes the course and the recent rain is a plus. Backed her e/way at 9/2 in the 3:30 Hunt’n.
With a decent pace likely in the 2:40 at Lingfield then course specialist Cold Turkey looks to have a good chance of another win. A lot of his rivals look out of form or badly handicapped. Backed Cold turkey to win at 2/1.

won the race last year – good first run of season,
KINGSCLIFFE has to be backed at 9.6 on exhanges with a saver on the place at 3.2
November 18, 2006 at 12:23 #683093.30 Huntington 2m4f Hurdles
I’ve had a look at this race and reckon it might be worth opposing the very obvious fav Magico (only carrying 10.02) on grounds he may be a little rusty over hurdles. The 6yo mare Into the Shadows ( near 5/1 exhanges)would be my principle hope. She won on the flat over 1m4 in atrocious heavy ground so her stamina wouldn’t worry me unduly and she can only be better for her Aintree outing. I feel Wot Way Chief may be just a little out of his depth against the two principle and Berenger may be a doubful stayer. Two outsiders I would seriously consider (even for places) are Salut St Cloud  at 10/1(ran in very good company last  year including Cheltenham last November and Mikado Melody 30/1 who just might on the upgrade
<br>Good luck if your playing!
Oh I forgot, and Swallow and me can’t be wrong!

November 18, 2006 at 15:54 #68311Zilzal – good stuff with College Ace. Do you specialise in hcap chases as you seem to be quite good at them?
Really wish your second selection had also won;) ÂÂÂ

November 18, 2006 at 16:07 #68313Yes, Swallow.  I prefer to look at handicaps rather than novices, maidens and group races. I also prefer 2m – 2m6f max range and would concentrate on the the races with the highest prizemoney and with not too many claimers in the field. Compared to the guys in the AW thread, though, I’m a guesser:cheesy:
Lost what I won in the 2.30 on the 3.30. Pity Salut fell at the last. :(
Well done on the Neverthika place, Flat;)
November 18, 2006 at 16:12 #68314AP "whippit" Mccoy spoilt the party Zilzal. Thought Nevertika had it sewn up. Ah Well not my day! There was some 16/1 earlier today if you looked hard enough btw. SO just another place for the e/w thief lol
Nervertika 3rd, 16/1
Profit 2.2pts (not much really)
