About level yesterday.
I’ve concentrated on Newcastle today.
2.10 Looks too difficult: too many horses rated closely together and ratings not much higher than base figures.
2.45 Surprisingly, JOHNSTON’S DIAMOND comes out on top on 113, with Ice Planet on 111. Certainly worth a bet at big odds(around 25/1).
3.20 GREENWICH MEANTIME (128), Bulwark(126), Dorothy’s Friend(126). The selection looks very well in for this race but might need a bit of luck in running. Provided the pace is decent, there’s plenty of time to reel in the leaders at this stiff track.
3.55 ROYAL DIGNITARY(118) is clear top-rated. Looks the best bet on the card.
4.25 Dowleh(105) would easily be up to winning this in an average year, but the debutant, Champery, could be better than average. No bet.
4.55 TROUBLE MOUNTAIN(103), Instructor(100), Active Asset(100)
5.25 PRINCE EVELLYN(104), European Dream(103)
