2,000 Guineas winner Ruling Court has died following complications with the foot disease laminitis.
Just heard this news on RTV.
Such a shame – he was a very good horse and might have improved yet further.
Shocking news. He was very lightly raced and I also think there was much more to come next year. Sad to think that even the best vets couldn’t save him.

I”m really feeling down after hearing this tragic news.. what a beautiful horse he was I would imagine the vets tried their hardest to save him but the disease had gone to far.
All condolences to the staff and all connections at Moulton Paddocks, Newmarket who must be feeling his loss pretty badly 😢.
I know from a visit to Dalaham Hall Stud a few years back that they almost lost New Approach from a violent attack of colic but miraculously he pulled through thanks to the brilliant vets and dedication of the staff.
Sadly Ruling Court could not be saved.
