I really couldn’t seperate them, but I’ve stuck my neck out and sided with Punchestowns.
Both from the same stable. Both two for two over the bigger obstacles this season. Both successfully tackled difficult tracks for novice chasers (sandown and kempton). Both have proven stamina, but have won over shorter distances in good grade (kingmaker and scilly isles).
Long Run is the most talented horse in the field, but I’ve sided with Geraghty over Waley-Cohen.
March 17, 2010 at 14:30 #283274sounds fair!
March 17, 2010 at 14:48 #283277Super winner well done
March 17, 2010 at 14:48 #283278Front two very disappointing, but my ew horse sluiced home!!
March 17, 2010 at 14:52 #283281Very dissappointing ride there from AP on Burton Port. Was no where near poitive enough on probably the soundest jumper in the race. Gutting to see him drop the horse back in the field for no good reason, only to then decide to be positive once he hit last place just before the third last. Flew up the hill to reel them in but too late.
March 17, 2010 at 14:53 #283283Finally one of my ante-post bets comes in, was starting to lose the faith!
March 17, 2010 at 14:54 #283284Davy Russell caught Sam Waley Cohen on the hop. His swift tactical move rounding the home turn clinched the the race for his horse.
Great race to watch.

March 17, 2010 at 14:54 #283287Only consolation for me is that people can now stop banging on about the very average Diamond Harry!
March 17, 2010 at 14:55 #283288Did we lose Citizen Vic there? ? ?
March 17, 2010 at 14:56 #283290Fearing the worst for Citizen Vic – didn’t deserve that fall, do so hope he’s ok
March 17, 2010 at 14:58 #283292Another belting result for the bookies!
Poor from Davy Russell IMO after such a great performance in the race he spits his dummy out about Big Mac’s rant at O’Connell. Why not talk about the thrilling performance his horse has just put up?
It’s a sport where you’re gonna come in for a bit of stick now and again and you need to be big enough to take it. Grow up Davy!
