How Diamond Harry can still be backed at 9.2 on betfair is beyond me, unbelievable value, he should be 6’s max.

8s with the books, will drift to 10s, wait till the day. Hasn’t a hope of living with Nicky’s pair mind.

With Long Run possibly, but never been a fan of Punchestowns, have a soft spot for Diamond Harry, wont me some decent money this season, and in terms of an EW punt, think its a cracker!

I notice Punchestown supports seem completely unconcerned that their RSA hope has gone lame twice in the last week.
I wouldn’t have backed Arkle in this years field if he’d gone lame twice in the day’s leading up to the race and the trainer didn’t know why, come to that, nor does he know what’s wrong with Binocular.

I won’t be backing my long term CH fancy Solwhit if he runs either, it’s sheer madness not to factor in these horses problems when throwing cash at one’s bookie

No, it bothers me.. but at the same time, what in this context is "lame"? Was he hopping lame, or was he just a bit pottery? He’s always had foot problems – the story goes that he was lame when they went to buy him, and that he had very flat feet.

Surely Henderon will only run him if he’ 100% happy with the horse, so therefore he’s a pretty good bet in my eyes.

Well, that’s my feeling – the horse is pretty special to him by all accounts.

Have already backed Wierd Al earlier in the season but have just added Knockara Beau at 33s who travels well andf was eating into Wierd Als lead earlier in the season when the pair met. It will be a great day for the Wiliams stable if Wirrd Al can slay the giants, and I will be cheering on this pair of underdogs to do something.

Nick Mordin gave Knockara Beau the kiss of death a couple of weeks ago!!

The major problem as I see it is that NH doesn’t really know why he went lame and therefore logically cannot know whether the problem is likely to reoccur , nor does he know what’s wrong with Binocular, poor show really for a trainer of his stature, as someone else said Barney Curley would have been hung out to dry by now had he been ‘in Nicky Henderson’s place

Don’t get me wrong Punchestowns is a horse I’ve always held in the highest regard, indeed he was one of only four horses I backed at last year Festival, I’m very sad to hear he has a problem although it obviously makes it easier for whichever I choose from my (very) short list of Weird Al or Diamond Harry

It’s a small problem with his foot, not sure what he’s supposed to do differently tbh.

Cooldine was "lame" the morning he won last year.

makes little difference either way. If it’s a problem he won’t be able to work and he won’t run.

The bigger worry is a temperature or something like that, which befell What A Friend a few days before the race.
