Is there any chance that we could see Aidan O’Brien train horses over jumps again? I would love to see him send just one or two horses at Cheltenham once again. Its just a great shame he turned his back on NH and we never got to see his full potential in the winter code. Perhaps if he was training over jumps this year it could have given Paul Nicholls somthing to think about. When will JP McManus reliase that Jonjo O’Neill is no Aidan O’Brien and JP should try and persude Aidan to train 1 or 2 jumps with his chequebook and Tony McCoy will do the streeing off course. Imagine what a McManus/O’Brien/McCoy partnership will do to NH racing no doubt the winners at Cheltenham and Aintree will roll in!

Another good days racing. Congrats LGR for a cracking treble. I imagine most people must be doing well at ascot so far.

I’m not really big on slating Richard Hughes, as can still remember back when he was regularly good, but his ride on Icon Project yesterday had me cursing at the TV screen for about half an hour, and IMO he cost her at least two places in the ribblesdale. Worth watching back as she looks to be at least up to winning a listed/group3 if she gets good to firm again.

Yeats was brilliant yet again, for a second I thought Geordieland was going to do him, but yeats was never in any doubt really that he was winning, what a horse, hope he does a fourth as it would be a long time before one comes along to equal it.

Loving the festival so far, its been brilliant.
