Another firm ground fatality that was not jumping related. A very tight track with lots of undulations and a horse that simply did all its running during September and April. Very sad and pathetic to risk a decent horse with no recent form on such a Mickey Mouse track like Downpatrick.
Very good to hear from ATR that he was put down straight away without suffering too long. But once again the question has to be raised why do we need summer jumping at all when we can`t provide proper ground?
Nothing will change after this fatality either, so don`t bother thinking too much about this thread and another equine life wasted.
Rest in Peace Romanesco
