I thought Robert was a bit unlucky with his pronunciation of the horse named Roisin A Chroi today. Beautiful French vowel sounds.

To be fair he did acknowledge the mistake later.

does the passport of Roisin A Chroi not state an English name ?

for example, Japanese racehorse names are all required by the JRA to be registered in Japanese syllabic characters (ie hiragana or katakana but not kanji) per Chapter 3, Art 17(1) here:

but – even in their wholly-insular domestic races – horses are identified somewhere with their English names (which are either phonetic approximations or else some other composition of English words, not necessarily anything to do with the meaning of the Japanese name) eg see the results of any minor race here:
