Robbie Power has announced he will be riding in Britain full time this season for Colin Tizzard.
This is due to Covid restrictions making it too difficult to travel between Ireland and Britain. However, he will be able to ride in Ireland on Grade 1 race days when quarantine rules do not apply.
I think it is a wise move. The quality of the Tizzard horses is getting better all the time. Aside from their graded horses, they also might have some very well handicapped horses given how out of form they were in the last few weeks before lockdown.
I expect Power also realises there is a very real possibility of Irish racing being suspended if the infection rate continues to rise.
