December 11, 2012 at 21:21 #422460AP somehow managing to get the late Synchronised up in the Gold Cup. Some performance.
December 11, 2012 at 22:19 #422488Campbell Gillies on Brindisi Breeze to win the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle. Brilliant judgement of pace from the front.

December 12, 2012 at 13:11 #422601Tom Queally,
for all his performances on Frankel, but particularly his ride in the Champion Stakes at Ascot, where he kept a cool head a rode what was, for me, his finest race aboard the Cecil trained superstar.
Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
December 12, 2012 at 18:55 #422656Daryl Jacob aboard Neptune Collonges in the Grand National.
December 12, 2012 at 22:23 #422681This nomination is probably due to the recency effect, but I choose Sam Twiston-Davies for his ride on Hello Bud in the Becher Chase.
December 13, 2012 at 22:22 #422804Paul Carberry
on Belvano in the Grand Annual.
December 17, 2012 at 01:12 #423270Campbell Gillies on Brindisi Breeze to win the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle. Brilliant judgement of pace from the front.

Seconded
A fairytale day for Campbell Gillies and Brindisi Breeze, both sadly no longer with us.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 18, 2012 at 19:40 #423434This is a tough one but for me being on course on my first visit to Plumpton in April i shall nominate this one.
Tom Cannon on Inthejungle in the 2m4f Chase Friday 27th April.
Coming to the first fence down the back straight on the last circuit he went forward down the neck and almost came off yet he got back in the saddle somehow and got the horse back in contention and ended up winning the race, lots of people myself included ran to the winners enclosure to give him a respectful and well earned cheer.
