Well ive seen it and its by far the best stand up he’s done

He was quite superb. I could watch again. I don’t laugh out loud at home often but my god I did

The take down of the Owen Jones of this world was magic. All he did was repeat EXACTLY what they actually say. It destroys them

But there’s much else and surprisingly the final bit on his uncle, which is dark but not controversial, was fabulous on many levels

    See it

Apart from the two cheap cheeses I found in Saimsbury’s today – as I stepped on the tube home I got in the first carriage – it was empty. On the floor there was a half drunk Krone ( Stella ) but on the ledge behind the seat opposite was a carton containing the remaining three full cans. Yesterday in Sussex outside a closed charity shop I picked up ‘ Ricky Gervais live ‘ animals ‘ also a hardback – Olga’s Story by Stephanie Williams – a woman’s biography and a Pavarroti CD – to adoro and a 2002 CD – Coldplay/ U2/ The Vines/Doves/Moby The Datsuns etc – whatever the quality – all as free as a bloody bean ! :good:

I don’t find him even remotely funny.

    Each to their own.

“I don’t find him even remotely funny.

    Ditto.

Like so many “comedians,” smug Gervais labours under the delusion he is A) Hilarious and B) The world’s leading authority on everything.

    He’s neither.

    This is the one

    Superb on every level

And for those that can’t abide a comedian who dares not to be woke, can say without any doubt that the greats such as richard Pryor billy Connolly and dave Allen would have done this word for word and loved it. Certain of that

He,s Marmite but one thing in my eyes he,s one of the best British actors about , Brent , Millman and Derek all show off his qualities , watch the clip where Joan dies in Derek , it’s a masterclass …the knock and stop on the door , in Extras his use of other celebs is brilliant , Bunny is my fav

Hdlg. Afterlife is quite wonderful too. For me his best work with the office of course

I’m not sure he that marmite. The office and afterlife swept the world didn’t they? Hard to find those that didn’t get either. All comedians will have some that dislike. There are people that don’t like sex and sunny weather too

I’ve worked with at least 3 Brent’s in the last 15 years , harmless as long as you know what they are

He’s one of my favorite comedians.
Saw him live few years back in Cardiff . I have so much in common with him his views on being an atheist and being child free and his love for animals.
Not seen this recent show yet , the monologue he did on the golden globes was just hilarious
