The finishing line is rapidly approaching in the race to be the first jockey to reach 10,000 career wins.
Russell Baze suffered after he served a 15 day suspension earlier in the Autumn and Ricardo recaptured the lead and by last weekend led Baze by 20. Baze on 5 in one day and the lead by last weekend by down to 12.
Ricardo yesterday rode a treble with Baze getting no winners and the tally is now 9957-9940 to the Brazilian.
