This is not good news for Racing as it will be used as ammunition to restrict/stop people attending:
trip to Doncaster races has been blamed for a cluster of coronavirus cases in the Rhondda Valley, south Wales, as restrictions were tightened severely.
The Welsh government said one of the clusters in the area was associated “with a club outing to the Doncaster races, which stopped off at a series of pubs on the way”.
According to RTV’s site, Doncaster says it received no bookings from anyone in South Wales and has contacted the Welsh government for urgent clarification.

Given that they have been generally transparent and open during the Covid crisis it’s surprising that the Welsh Government didn’t check their facts with the course before making an announcement.
Everything nowadays seems to be lies and misinformation.

BHA have now issued a statement about the matter and clearly expect the Welsh Government to issued a correcting statement ASAP:
The big question is why, considering the current Covid situation, a group thought it a good idea to take a coach and go for a piss-up? If indeed this ‘coach party’ isn’t just a figment of someone’s imagination?
“The Guardian has now corrected the story. You can sense its disappointment.”
Agree, some of the “champagne socialists” will be in tears.
