Really like Knappers Hill a lot, very likeable type, but the one I want to bet is Dashel Drasher. The 15-2 really appeals, but even though the weather forecast looks favourable for him, he’s a risky horse to be Antepost, so makes sense to wait another 24 hours
Dashel Drasher 10’s
December 30, 2022 at 16:44 #1628910I’m surprised to see that Brewingupastorm is as big as 12-1, so I’m happy to have him here
December 30, 2022 at 17:39 #1628914Would be pleasantly surprised if Marie’s rock won on seasonal debut
I’d think it’s pretty unlikely though as nicky will be priming her for defending her mares hurdle crown in march and she has a 5lb penalty to carry
The weights favour dashel drasher and brewinupastorm
So I will be backing both at 9/1 and 12/1
December 30, 2022 at 17:58 #1628916Brewinupastorm ew 4 places
December 31, 2022 at 05:18 #1629003I’m going to this and it looks a really good betting card.
Marie’s rock would be the one for me on the ground as it is now. The 7lb mares allowance in these types of races is massive. I don’t agree with it at all but whilst it’s in place you’ve got to make the most of it.
I’m not sure twistin bastards horse wants the extra 4f, first street beat nothing of any note at Newbury but could still be improving and does have a noticeable piece of form behind state man but again doubts about the extra distance.
Brewinupastorm probably the bridesmaid yet again to either younger legs or because he’s F/UR or come 2nd more times than I care to count
Dashel Drasher similar comments apply.
Knappers hill it’s hard to pick holes in and will run well but for me Marie’s rock will be the one I’m roaring up the hill from the top of the stands!
December 31, 2022 at 07:49 #1629011First Street @ 5’s
Quietly climbing the ladder and been looking forward to him going up in trip since the Betfair hurdle. Unfortunately bumped into one in the County but still finished with a rattle in that as well.
A good run last time as well giving nearly 2 stone to a nice looking horse who runs today where he seemed to settle really well compared to last year. May just be a very good handicapper or still on the upgrade so quite a big day for him really.
December 31, 2022 at 21:20 #1629153I like to move it for me here. I was impressed with his win in the Greatwood Hurdle. The last hurdle was ommited in that race which turned it a proper staying race, so I think the extra furlongs here shouldn’t be a problem.
I Like To Move It 4/1
December 31, 2022 at 23:04 #1629162I’m surprised with First Street 6-1, so he’s my main selection, but at 28-1 I will add Tritonic ew too
January 1, 2023 at 12:59 #1629262Knapper’s Hill
January 1, 2023 at 14:28 #1629291Got my 50p ew on Bobby’s old pal Dashel Drasher.
January 1, 2023 at 14:29 #1629293Knappers Hill despite the drift

January 1, 2023 at 15:40 #1629301Nice work, TC. Very impressive given she ran with the choke out. She’ll be a real danger to all if they go Stayers Hurdle.
