Red Striker

I was very taken with Red Striker’s run on Saturday.

He always looked to be travelling easily, held way, way off the pace.  Coming out the back I was expecting Guest to close up, but he seemed reluctant to do so (!)

Unfortunately for him the leader fell and Red Striker couldn’t help but close on the leaders.  Then Jungli fell in front of him, enabling him to take it easy and fall away.

Definite prep race, from a calculating stable.

The Thomas Pink seems the obvious race for the horse.

I see Richard Guest says Red Striker definitely runs in the Hennessey.

He’s still in the Thomas Pink as well.

The Hennessey may make more sense, if you believe he’ll stay. Soft ground, flat track – and they saw him as a Gold Cup horse at one stage.
