Formerly useful chaser when with Norman Mason and Richard Guest collapsed and died after finishing 4th for new connections at Wetherby on Saturday.
All very sad, for whilst he was operating at least a stone and probably more below his best this winter, he was at least appearing to be withstanding his racing better that at any time in the last three seasons. I’d have fancied him to land another hunters’ chase or mid-range handicap on soft ground before the season’s end.
