But then we now live in a country so shallow many think Penny Mordaunt should one day be PM because she can hold a big sword still at a ceremony (and probably because she brings out the gimp in some men of a certain age).
Not really sure what a “gimp” is but she scares the pants off me!

Could it be symbolic?

Writing books like his memrise, in other words fiction. Rishi trying his best to deliver what’s promised and get net zero illegal immigration. Don’t know if its working though.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.

All of which is fact. Campbell, just like everyone else, is entitled, within reason, to post anything he likes.”
Alistair Campbell accusing someone of being a liar.
My irony alert indicator has just exploded.
June 11, 2023 at 22:33 #1651276‘Is there any truth in the rumour that Boris is after Dorries’s seat?’
Given that the media is saying anything from ‘he’s finished’ to ‘he’s already planning a comeback’, I’d say nobody has a clue. And the Murdoch Sunday Times was one saying he’s unlikely to seek a new seat so it’s not all wishful thinking from the left wing corner of the press.
June 12, 2023 at 18:10 #1651305Amid rumours World Of Sport wrestling returns on Saturday with Big Daddy v Giant Haystacks replaced by Big Boris v Little Rishi and the SNP having a few image issues, the question has to be asked: “Is it Starmer’s birthday?”
Distinguishing between Starmer’s politics and those of Kenneth Clarke, Michael Heseltine (my all-time favourite Tory because he alone had the front to take down Thatcher) and David Cameron gets harder by the day and seeing as he’s now superglued himself to the centre ground like a middle-class protestor on the M25, how can he fail to win most seats now?
Yon legal bloke’s got a two-yard tap in and if Starmer somehow puts the ball into Row Z it’ll be the biggest miss in history.

Pretty obs what’s happening to me. Certain faction within the Tory Party will ultimately ‘sink’ its chances at next GE, quite deliberately. (As they already know the chance of even a slim Tory maj is fast fading).
Then, Sunak’s crowd will be replaced by the Boris faction as BJ and his allies say that Sunak failed, so time for ‘us’ again. Cue the likes of Boris, Dorries, Rees-Mogg pulling the Tory strings post-next GE (even if they are not MPs by then).
Hmm…..a revamped House Of Cards series, brought to you by Netflix?
June 13, 2023 at 12:08 #1651370Sounds plausible – the Johnson faction has zero moral compass, or even ultimate allegiance to its own Party, so a heavy defeat for Sunak would work to their post-Election Tory Party power-grab advantage.
