What with all that Godolphin mullarkey, and with a firm nod to Family Fortunes, it’s got to be the Arabs, hasn’t it?

Wish you would kick off!
January 15, 2008 at 17:52 #135392Explain please NV (I am a bit thick !!)
Ok. I think that carvillshill is suggesting that he wishes you would go away.
January 15, 2008 at 17:53 #135393How did he get through the TRF I.Q. test Corm?

January 15, 2008 at 18:26 #135413Congratulations for hitting the ton, mansun.
Quantity, mate!
January 15, 2008 at 18:30 #6266Apologies mansun. Would hate to be branded ‘juvenile’.
Perhaps you could explain a little about the race for the benefit of our younger viewers…
January 15, 2008 at 18:31 #135420I’m not that old I’m afraid. Can you explain what happened as to why it is controversial.
I can’t really remember any controversial races other than the Grand National that never was.
Races where jockeys take the wrong course or ride a finish a circuit too early happen far to frequently to be deemed the ‘most controversial’.

January 15, 2008 at 18:39 #135428I think we all remember a certain all-weather event, involving a certain jockey and a certain horse…
Yes we do LGR, I still don’t think Chris Catlin got enough credit for being the only jockey to pull his horse up at Southwell last week – a very controversial race indeed

January 15, 2008 at 18:42 #1354313 horses entered in the race. Only one ran. Hosed up.
No wonder it won, if the other two horses entered in the race didn’t run. Am I missing something mansun? Wouldn’t this have been a walkover? How did anyone make any money?
January 15, 2008 at 18:42 #135432Three horses entered in the race, only one ran.
Oh dear, oh dear – if you’re going to write about the race, at least gets the facts right.

January 15, 2008 at 18:43 #135433Off the top of my head….
1992 Gold Cup – Golden Freeze ‘spoiling’ the race for Carvill’s Hill.
1997 Eclipse – Kieran Fallon’s ride on Bosra Sham.
2000 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes – I just remember alot of differing opinions at the time and since about how good this performance actually was by Dubai Millenium. The whole ‘What did he beat?’ question came up alot.

2003 Lockinge – A bit of controversy about the rating given to Hawk Wing for this performance if my memory serves me right.
2003 Lockinge Stakes[/url:3clwp519]
Actually, I think Dubai Millenium & Hawk Wing are the most controversial horses on the flat from recent years. Always alot of differing opinions about them and how good they were.
1998 Breeders Cup Classic – Frankie’s ride on Swain.

2004 Champion Chase – The whole ‘would Moscow Flyer have beaten Azertyuiop had he stood up’ discussion.

1998 Aintree Hurdle – Tony McCoy’s ride on Pridwell.
1998 Aintree Hurdle[/url:3clwp519]
2000 Gold Cup – The ‘should Gloria Victis have run in the Gold Cup?’ controversy.
1989 Epsom Oaks – Aliysia being disqualified after winning the Oaks.
1993 Grand National.

2005 Celebration Chase – I remember a bit of controversy over Nicholls & Pipe running alot of their horses in this race because of the trainers title battle they were in at the time. Azertyuiop’s participation in the race was questioned alot.
January 15, 2008 at 18:49 #135436I changed it, mansun, as mentioning a controversial all-weather race really doesn’t narrow it down these days…as Mikky so eloquently pointed out
January 15, 2008 at 18:52 #135437Apracing, Collins entered 3 and only one ran. Problem?
I thought that was pretty obvious what you meant to be honest

Mike
January 15, 2008 at 18:53 #135439In the same race mansun? It just doesn’t seem to make any sense…

Lol LGR,
I didn’t think there was anything wrong with your post, but if you want me to edit mine then let me know.
