Nor me

Should be here anyday as the next Club day is York on 6th Oct according to their website.

Doubt there’s sufficient time to go through the rigmarole of sending off for a ticket so presumably any subscriber wishing to attend just turns up with their RUK badge.

With any luck, we’ll get something south of Beverley that isn’t at the back end of the season
Most southerners are lucky to see two meetings that are feasible to attend. Last year, we had Epsom and Newmarket on the same day! Take ya pick, but not both. How **** up is that?
Anyone living north of Southwell is spoiled for choice.

I get ruk through ntl cable and they informed me its £15.00 for new customers only. They said the prices come from RUK and not ntl
What they have done in the last few days is to re set all the channels so its one click up from atr (c534 & c535) to ruk which removes need to keep using the remote so much.
Quote: from lucky jack on 1:07 am on Sep. 20, 2006[br]i joined up to the setanta/racing uk package £15 monthly but still waiting for the racing uk club pack
have made 5 calls each time was told it would be put in post
setanta customer service is the pits

I just received my Racing UK members badge for 2006 after a five phone calls and one letter.

I think that their problem is that their computer can’t handle my address; it just has a house name and the town; no street and no house number. When I got the pack (without the badge and membership number details) all it had on the outside was my name and my postcode.

It will be interesting if or when I receive the next lot of tickets.

    Mine’s here too.

I suggest anyone who fancies going to York on Friday takes the application voucher and RUK badge with them in an attempt to gain free admittance, or rings them on:

…yes very good news Pat but what a pity they couldn’t have made it clearer a little earlier what their intentions were, like an announcement during the racing perhaps?? might have saved some of us the bother in complaining .

    CLUB VOUCHERS
if anyone is interested in having my race vouchers for this quarter they are welcome to them as I won’t be going to any of the race days this time. I don’t know if they are transferable – can’t see anything to say they are not, so if anyone wants them I’d be more than happy to pop them in the post. :)

I totally agree with very poor customer service of RUK.When first joining I had to wait six weeks for my welcome pack,it only arriving after I had rung several times. This last week I received the updated pack with the racecourse entry vouchers on Friday 6/10.Unfortunately to late for the days racing at York and too late to apply for the meeting at Aintree later this month.I also had to ring twice and send an email of complaint as I wanted to use the voucher for York and also the Aintree voucher to apply for tickets.Due to them not sending the pack until after the application dates had passed for both meetings,I missed out. They did say they had sent it on the 25/09 but they would say that wouldn’t they, where had it been for nearly two weeks.
I have been very unimpressed with their customer service but unfortunately I paid upfront and are currently stuck with them,I wont be renewing,I am very unhappy with the way they have treated me since paying up,does anyone else feel the same.

Hopefully my pack will arrive this week, but since that they can’t get my address into the computer I have slim hope of it appearing at all.

Recordings of last year would be more useful, or even a repeat of last Saturday.

I believe they are leading up to it.

At the moment, they are showing an hour programme that shows highlights from 1996 to 2002.

I think from next week, or perhaps even the week after, they will be showing 2003 to 2007.

Be patient guys  – thay don’t want us to peak too early

RUK have run a loop of "Cheltenham Memories" for two days now.

However, in RUKland Cheltenham Memories only started in 1995 and ended in 2002.

Why are they not able to mix the archive footage up a bit. Last year they ran recordings of the big Cheltenham Races showing all the runnings for a given decade. With Cheltenham only 3 weeks away, I am sure subscribers would much prefer Gold Cups from the 70s/80s/90s than the cobbled together programme currently on air.

    Seems very lazy to me.

I would love the chance to view them…..I’m suprised some of the great races of the past don’t seem to be available anywhere……….Like Arkle winning the Gallgher Gold Cup which was one of the most amazing performasnces of all time eg……..someone must have the recordings but why they are not made available I have no idea………The Arkle v Millhouse tape must have been viewd millions of times but Mill Houses win or Arkles two other wins I have never heard anyone talk off……..maybe the recording are too bad to show or they preserve them and aren’t allowed to play or record them………really don’t know
