Has anybody else using iPhones 5c or older found out that the RUK iPhone App no longer works on the older models?
They sneaked that one through without any fanfare. So basically if you want to watch their much lauded (by themselves and nobody else) “RUK Anywhere” streaming services (that don’t actually work anywhere at all but why would they want to tell consumers that, in the same whay why should they tell consumers they are going to stop the updated App working on their phone) and you don’t possess an iPhone 5s and above then you bascially have to forego the streaming service or buy a new phone.
I was a BIG fan of RUK but in the past six months or so they have started to be exposed as a company who have little regard for staff (selling Turf TV down the river by jumping into bed with SIS) and little regard for consumers who fork out a hefty monthly subscription to be treated like this. The old App never even worked properly as you had to always login again everytime you re-opened it on the day following most recent use.
And to make them look even worse the new ATR App is light years ahead of what RUK have. Almost instant replays and news content actually worth reading (unlike the ill-informed waffle that spews from every corner of the RUK App and indeed website). ATR seem to be upping their game whereas RUK seem to be smugly assuming their sunscribers will keep the gravy train on track irrespective of the rubbish service they are being offered.
Beware the company that assumes today’s customers will be there tomorrow.
