I’ve been conducting some research through past results and come across some major faults with my copy of this annual (which I bought direct from Raceform at the time).
Page numbers 1393 – 1425, detailing the results of race numbers 3841-3950 (4th-8th August) are missing.
Further on, after page 2128, pages 2097-2128 are repeated before picking up again with page 2129.
I would like to know if anyone else has a copy of this annual with the same issues, so I can ascertain if these were errors on the whole print run, or if I just happen to have a rogue copy?
I can then decide if it’s worth searching for a complete copy.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
January 21, 2019 at 08:04 #1393151Have you thought about contacting them ? — I used to subscribe years ago and remember being sent the weekly results and then buying the final Annual if I so wished. They may well have a copy of 2004 (2003 Results) and could check for you.

January 23, 2019 at 20:54 #1393376I am often on the wrong foot in these matters but found your virgin post went against the usual grain. It raised a certain suspicion and with your own admission you’re a man with form.
Your 2004 Annual is not for sale you say, but everyone has their price Jaywalker as I welcome you to this unreal priceless world.
I have quite a nice old case containing a lot of old Sherlock Holmes. One book was large and opened to reveal a little rope and unusually a one inch section of lead piping and other villainry pieces, all in miniature. That book was stolen and I know the perp but have a difficulty – it’s a sort of friendly type who’s done me favours, and I carelessly left the book lying about so left a honey trap. I am like espmadrid and feeling short.
As for the remaining collection well Jaywalker… If someone of a certain alluring stature and possibly favourably scented, and with one large eye for a deal and a purse half open came a knocking with intent- I’d give dear Mrs Hudson the night off and could well be – case sold
Back fitting form is one long tedious way to eke a possible advantage but history never guarantees a repeat and the course waterers sometimes work clandestinely at night having studied the same old past form as you.
I used to use Superform back in the day and that came out quarterly and I would pick it up personally hot off the press. It was not totally accurate but fair enough and lengths were sometimes a bit out in the distances – given that – I always smilingly forgave and I told them once, their Sussex shop was excusably positioned bang on a bend so rather understandable
January 25, 2019 at 20:56 #1393654Thanks Dahlia, I did, but no luck.
I’ll have to try and pick up a used copy and hope for the best.
