    Some advice wanted please.

I have been bought a raceday experience as a gift – behind the scenes tour, tickets, etc.

Eligible courses included Doncaster, Sedgefield, Newcastle, Chepstow, Worcester and Ffos Las.

Where would you recommend I go and why? Considering visibility at course, atmosphere and pleasantness of surrounding area in case I make it a weekend away.

My local course is Uttoxeter but I want to try somewhere different.

Courses I’ve visited are Cheltenham, Aintree, Uttoxeter, Wetherby and Leicester.

Personally I would choose Doncaster.I visited two years ago(as an owner of Tobago bay) and it was one of the best courses I have ever visited.
Normally I dont like large racecourses but without a doubt would go back over and over again.Great layout, friendly staff and viewing was excellant.

    Thanks for the reply.

The other racecourse on the offer is Fontwell, which I’ve read is a lovely course. Only problem being its a 4 hour drive!

I couldn’t tell you about any of those courses eligible but Newcastle is a good for a night out, happy friendly people the Geordies. A group of 10 of us went up there for the football and a Geordie friend took us into this massive social club, we were all in are casuals but stuck out like a sore thumb amongst a couple hundred Newcastle fans dressed like zebras. For whatever reason I don’t know we started chanting Liv-er-pool, Liv-er-pool, Liv-er-pool as you do on away days and the whole place went silent apart from our singing, they just all stared at us for what felt an age but it was probably only half a minute or so then as soon as we stopped they all 200 hundred or so of them in unison all belted out New-castle, New-castle, New-castle, bloody deafening but all in good spirit.
