Best 2miler since Istabraq
May 2, 2011 at 22:32 #353409Hopefully, hopefully – although in all honesty is it not a near certainty? – Hurricane Fly will hammer Binocular showing the latter to have been severely overrated for a while in the process. May the proper Grade 1 horse step up..
May 3, 2011 at 12:03 #353482Binocular’s last run proved he is a pure out and out two miler, and done on stamina. Conditions should be absolutely spot on, and could only be better for him if the race was at Prestbury Park. Expect Hurricane Fly and Binocular to dual out the finish akin to The Fly and Solwhit last year. Who win’s it from there, that is in the fate of the equine gods!
May 3, 2011 at 21:29 #353595hurricane fly for me, ground should be perfect. in my opinion binocular seems abit over the top.

May 6, 2011 at 10:41 #354026there is a tiny part of me that really wants binocular to win this.

So don't run, just like the others always do
May 6, 2011 at 17:01 #354096As I said in the Horse Racing section, 4/6 was available last night and 8/13 this morning. A gift from God. Should’ve been around the 1/3 mark. That’s the last time he’ll start at anything like that price. The value backing him has now gone, but that won’t stop me anyway. Really is the new Istabraq. Really need Peddler’s Cross and Oscar Whisky to stay hurdling to give him a race, because nothing out of the Supreme is going to get to the top level over hurdles. So Young ironically could become his biggest rival, and Thousand Stars has a nack of finishing about 2 1/2L behind The Fly too.
May 6, 2011 at 19:13 #354129Who was that horse that always finished second to Istabraq at Cheltenham? It was more profitable backing him ew than Istabraq to win!
May 6, 2011 at 19:29 #354136Yet again, a scintillating performance from the Hurricane. The way he travels and jumps is a joy to behold. He has more speed than any of the other 2 milers around and more stamina. Goes on any ground. As they were saying today on RTÉ, he just has no chinks in his armour. It’s gonna take a good’un to knock him off his perch that’s for sure.
