    A proper boxer, a proper legend and one half of one of the greatest sporting rivalries of all time. To me this was the best era of boxing. I used to stay up watching it with my mum and It was the Ali – Frazier fights that captivated most. It has been said that half the world watched the first fight between the two of them.

    Amazing that Philadelphia has a statue of Rocky Balboa but none of Joe Frazier. He trained young fighters at his inner city gym there until 2009.

    Fantastic fighter and great entertainer. He, like Foreman and Ali, would have cleaned up in this generation.

    Ali and Frazier was one of the true sporting rivalries and did so much good to the world of boxing. Fantastic man.
