    Folks,

Do high street bookmakers accept an each way double bet on 2 horses in the same race? (I know that the e/w double is a very hard bet to get accepted by the bookies and that by backing an e/w double in the one race, you instantly lose the win double part of the bet but…)
Do there rules prevent such a bet?

    Thanks in advance

No – you’ll never get that on. Better placing two place only singles on Betfair and win only singles too. Can’t have the each-way double as both horses can’t win the race so teh win part of the bet is down already.

    The simple answer is no.

If you strongly fancy two horses to be in the first 3 then you probably should be looking at permed forecasts/tricasts (or their tote equivalents…)
