I personally dont buy that from Ruby.
Twist Magic wouldn’t have got past My Way up the hill, not a chance.
At the time Gaz i didn"t want Twist Magic to win the race as i was clawing my losses back from backing My way for the RSA! But what sticks in my mind to this day was Rubys attitude when he came off 2 out,he was livid,i have never seen him do that before or after that event!Twisty was barely a length down at the time and was still cantering, close call imo!I have been a fan of the horse since that day though! come on Twisty my son, this is your year!
February 13, 2010 at 17:19 #276248Shocking jump at that last but a great recovery from Ruby!
Nothing to get within 20 lengths of Master Minded for me and happy with the 7/4 I’ve got on many ante-post tickets.

When he gets beaten
Like you said…….

I guess I had that coming
February 13, 2010 at 18:17 #276266Nice to see Master Minded back even if the form of todays race is worthless. Kinkeel has a rating of around 90 so a collateral link gives MM approx 148 unless Kinkeel was a ringer.
At least though it shows the Master’s wellbeing. I wasn’t certain how well he was going early on but he jumped better today and looked something like himself.
At least it gives the Champion Chase a more solid look now. I would still prefer Twist Magic be interesting to see who will ride him if Ruby rides Master Minded.
February 13, 2010 at 18:19 #276268Ruby will stick with Master Minded. He’s odds on now and i can’t see Ruby jumping off the defending champ, Can you?

No its the sensible decision to stick with Master Minded.
McCoy for Twist Magic anyone?
February 13, 2010 at 20:11 #276323Hmmm not sure who will be on Twist Magic … Maybe Christian Williams?
February 13, 2010 at 20:23 #276335Bloody Cheltenham…. it’s getting more and more like Christmas, Easter Valentines Day every year… for god’s sake it’s just another festival at the end of the day. Sorry but having been there a few times I just don’t get what all the fuss is about… almost time for another holiday and it certainly won’t be in Gloucester
February 13, 2010 at 20:27 #276339In that case can I ask you why you’re wasting your time browsing and commenting on a thread about such a boring topic? If I was you I’d do something more interesting.

Because it’s a forum and that’s what you do on a forum… post "your" thoughts on a thread… that’s whether they agree or disagree with the topic

SaltireSorcerer i think you must have mixed up the wrong potion in your cauldron! Hair of horse gets you to racing forums, you stick to knitting scarves!
February 13, 2010 at 21:50 #276387Ignoring the Kauto style jump at the last, the Champ is back. I was worried round the first circuit as he hung right round the first corner but after that he was electric until the last.
Twist Magic will have his work cut out to get near Master Minded.

Twist Magic doesn’t even come into calculations. If he runs to his norm, he won’t be fit he’ll drift like a barge and run round at the back of the field with his jockey whistling "It’s a long way to Tipperary.

Good to hear Ruby singing Twist Magics praises there on RUK, he like those of us who know their horses, said he Would have won the Arkle had he stood up,he is maintaining his current healthy mental attitude, has no issues with his stamina, has no problems with the course and is expecting a big run from him in the Champion Chase! But what does Ruby Know??

Was that before or after he backed Master Minded
February 13, 2010 at 22:05 #276397Even the "Machine" can throw in the odd howler!
February 13, 2010 at 22:15 #276408The old he would have won if he’d stood up argument. Brilliant. Ruby talking up a Nicholls horse. How illuminating.
Twist Magic is a dog at Cheltenham and won’t get placed.
