Something like Midday would look every bit a special as her racing against that lot and loo what Sariska did to her.
Stacelita will be eaten alive in the Arc IMO
That is actually quite funny do you mean the short head defeat at epsom? when on another day the result might have been different if the pacemaker can beat midday on heavy in a group 1 race doesn’t that sent off alarm signals as to the credibility of the race
More like sariska will be eaten alive in the arc with soft ground and on good ground she’ll be chasing shadowsAugust 10, 2009 at 02:34 #243234Personally I think Sea the Stars and Fame and Glory’s form is as weak ass piss and they could be grossly overrated.
If
I am right the Fame and Glory fans are on to rice.
If
Sea the Stars and Fame and Glory have been over rated Sariska who looks head and shoulders above any of the fillies in the UK could be the one. She would need to be every bit of that and more to win this but her trainer thinks she’s really something special. The talk before her last race was how far? now I’m told she’s improved even more. Talk is cheap but
If
she has she’ll take the world of beating. Perhaps we’ll know a bit more after the Yorkshire Oaks and
If
she wins again like she did last time you would have to take her chance very seriously
Sea the Stars form is totally bombproof. This sort of argumant is typical of racing discussions on the internet, there is always some joker ready and willing to poo poo the latest superstar. How many Group 1 animals does he need to beat comfortably or indeed via RVW show he is miles better than to prove his worth? Timeform have Rip on 134 now, a just rating imo – this must put STS on at least 137/8 as 2lbs would not be enough for a reversal in the Eclipse form. At the moment he’s in the Montjeu/Peintre Celebre area 0 with possibly better to come if he’s really stretched.
Mr Bell thinks Sariska is something special? Big deal, i’m pretty sure he held the same elevated opinion on Motivator. She beat a pacemaker last time out and i’d want a minimum of 16s to get involved on her.
August 10, 2009 at 16:37 #243274In what way, on what planet, in what solar system, could Sea The Stars possibly be an "ordinary" (double) classic winner?
August 10, 2009 at 18:06 #243293If sea the stars is an ordinary classic winner how many good ones have there been? The last ordinary 1 i can remember must have been nashwan 20 years ago?
Sea the stars is the kind of horse that does it with the minimun of fuss and makes it look ridiculously easy. Look at the coral eclipse tracked a furious pace yet just cantered up at the 2 furlong as if he was on a racecoure gallop idled which he has always done was challanged and just said to RVW hey mate wer u going i don’t think so with conduit plodding on for third[/color:3v12ta4m]
RVW and conduit have both franked the at different distances combining speed and stamina.August 10, 2009 at 18:28 #243294Jukebox Jury has given what seems an outstanding Eclipse yet another boost over the weekend.
August 11, 2009 at 00:47 #243330I cannot for one minute believe that STS is anything other than a genuinely great horse. You dont get middle distance animals dominating good gunieas fields unless they are anything but that. Apart from slight tendency to idle in front (which has flattered opponents i feel) there is not a single flaw in his make up. that is rare enough…
August 11, 2009 at 16:58 #243367I myself think that STS and Rip Van Winkle. Will not run in the Arc do any of you guys agree with me.
August 11, 2009 at 17:22 #243370nice boost of eclipse form by cima de triomphe saturday

Yes. Both trainers have already said that they have different t targets.
August 12, 2009 at 03:38 #243462sea the stars probable programme ground permitting juddmonte international irish/english champion stakes breeders cup classic
RVW QE11 breeders cup classicAugust 12, 2009 at 20:25 #243546Yes I saw the Diane demolition but the Arc is a different kettle of fish doing the donkey work out front against boys and older animals. She would need to be better than Zarkava for mine to win an Arc with that racing style.
Doing the donkey work? If u used your eyes, you would see that this filly settles beautifully which is what i noticed early about zarkava and sea the stars has that same quality. I think she’ll improve for a stronger pace and she stays all day. Conduit and in particular Fame And Glory are big dangers but the french filly might just do them for toe in the straight, i fully expect to see her quicken 2 clear against the rail maybe 2 out while murtagh is at it on fame and glory, spencer is looking for room on Sariska and moore is pulling Conduit out wide for a run, the bird may have flown by that point, and well see what happens if something actually gets near her, whether she is tough in a battle we dont know yet because she hasnt even had a race. Every horse who wins the arc isn’t going to be as great as zarkava, colt or filly. Monsun would have won the arc two years ago with his son Manduro, now his daughter Stacelita has the chance to make amends and i think shes different class, my opinion
August 13, 2009 at 03:39 #243622Lol if u ask me i think only youmzain (watch 2007 arc to see what i mean)has it in him to get catch her especially on softer ground where the horses will feel like they’ve got a truck on their back trying to catch her
August 13, 2009 at 23:13 #243755The Arc is back on the agenda for STS
August 13, 2009 at 23:42 #243767So that’s the 2nd, 3rd and 4th from the Irish Derby beaten with the latter 2 being beaten in Group 3s
Dire year for middle-distance 3yos, dire.

I’d bet he won’t un in the Arc…absolutely no chance in fact.
The 3 year olds took another knock tonight following Golden Sword’s trouncing in the King George.
John Oxx’s Mourayan a fast finishing third in the Irish Derby was beaten in very easy fashion by the 5 year old Profound Beauty in a Group 3 race.
August 14, 2009 at 14:02 #243850Mourayan is a bit of a dog though. I wouldn’t be trusting him with counterfit money at this stage to be honest. Its not as if he was even close to Fame And Glory at the Curragh or in the Derrinstown either.
I also can’t see STS running in the Arc. Very unlikely that the ground will be right for him.

Which only helps FAG IMHO. If it;s as weak an Arc as you say, he”ll take some beating.
