As much as i think this trip is on the short side,i still think conditions will still play to the strengths of
Knockara Beau
,any cut will help!

January 5, 2011 at 10:11 #334810Having seen
Notre Pere
fail miserably again in the Lexus,i wonder why connections haven"t let him take his chance in the Welsh National,a race he has actually won before!
Anyway thats history now and i"m looking forward to Saturdays renewal, all being well!I backedSynchronised
at Uttoxeter for the Midlands version and he looks tailormade for the Welsh,he can carry weight on Heavy ground over a distance and that will do for me,he has the right connections too for laying one out and this fellow looks like he has been!
£100 e/w 6/1
Synchronised
Welsh National.

January 8, 2011 at 15:57 #335114Congratulations, Your Imperial Majesty. Your confidence made me nervous, and, as usual, with good reason… I realised you’d seen something about that wretched nag that really gave you a buzz, seing him in this race. Having bet on a shedload of others shouldn’t have stopped me betting on him!
Will I ever learn? Don’t answer that.

Charles Darwin to conquer the World
January 9, 2011 at 20:55 #335235My second bet as a professional punter runs in the King George on Saturday and being the King of foresight i have a sneaky feeling the race could cut up if the anticipated weather report proves correct! (Mind you that will be a first!!) Rain and more rain is forecast and if thats the case Albertas Run wont run, Planet of sound would struggle,as would Sizing Europe and Forpadydeplasterer. On the other hand
The Nightingale
will love it and his form lines show that he would have run Pandorama close had he run! Watch Ladbrokes 20/1 dissapear tonight now i have mentioned it!
£100 e/w

20/1 Ladbrokes King George.

January 9, 2011 at 21:43 #335246William Hills offer of 8/1 about

Very good, Nathan! But, alas, like us, I suppose, shite seems to have its favourite depositories. I did fear HM’s one. The King’s excitement was clear for those with ears to hear*, and I wasn’t convinced by JP’s demurral about his carrying a heavy weight. They knew what it could carry and how well.
*That reminds me. I must make an appointment to have my hearing checked.
January 10, 2011 at 22:06 #335369Good to see the My Way de Solzen colours being carried by what looks like a smart prospect in
West end Rocker
.
I see this fellow is joint 8/1 fav for the Totesport Chase at Warwick on Saturday and the form of his Newbury victory with 11-11lb on his back stands up. Officier de Reserve looks like a live danger at 11/1 and the slightly longer trip should bring further improvement out of him, particularly with a 5lb pull!£50 e/w
West End Rocker
8/1 Totesport Chase Warwick Saturday.
£32.50 e/w

January 15, 2011 at 21:38 #336120TAPK started this thread on April Fools day last year with one goal! To prove i could make £10,000 in one year,i"m hoping now i can get there in 10 months and the race to achieve it in is one of my favourites,The Great Yorshire Chase at Doncaster! I also know that my influence affects markets so this could be my swansong bet now that i am a Professional Gambler!
Fistral Beach
is the key horse here, his mark of 140 is fair,he could get in this with 10-12 if his owner Graham Roach runs his stable companion Thetotherone off a mark of 152,which in effect would give him top weight of 11-10! Fistral Beach is quite an imposing sort who i believe is only just getting his act together and the conditions of the race look perfect for him!
£200 win
Fistral Beach
6/1 Skybet Great Yorks Chase 29/1/11
Another horse who looks ideally suited to the conditions of this race and would be an ideal winner for personal reasons is
Calgary Bay
,off a mark of 143,he too is a serious contender and at 14/1 is an ideal e/w bet,his course and distance win last year jumps off the page!
£100 e/w
Calgary bay
14/1 Skybet Great Yorks Chase 29/1/11
£8600
January 15, 2011 at 21:44 #336122I am grateful too for West End Rocker. A very tricky race to analyse I thought.A bit surprised the winner’s odds drifted near the off – I’m not sure why, especially as I guess a lot of people read this thread now.

Brilliant Kasp!
January 16, 2011 at 00:09 #336156Just to say well done on your winner today. And do you think i should count Long Run as a winner. i backed it in october and put it up on page 2 of King George thread but backed Planet Of Sound as well.

Well Darren i put
Long run
up on the very first page of the King George thread as a potential winner, purely based on his Feltham victory over C/D,his run in the Paddy Power now looks like a Pig farmers wellys! I for one did not fancy him on what i have seen from him in the last 10 months.Nicky Henderson is getting to be a wily old fox as he gets older! If you made a profit from the race after accounting for all bets then Yes he"s a winner,i lost on the race but as usual not on the day!
January 20, 2011 at 00:11 #336779Gord.Just to say i put up 2 more horses to follow both could be classic horses for this year. The Oxx horse i think may be the darkhorse for the derby.
February 9, 2011 at 15:46 #339621The Tote Gold Trophy is my highlight for this weekend and last years winner
Get me out of Here
attempts the repeat, obviously the handicapper has had his say on his chances but i believe there isn"t a horse in the race to bother him, certainly not one who could have run "Menorah" to a head at Cheltenham in the Supreme nov hurdle. Some may think "Ronaldo des Mottes" will reverse last years form with my selection but i dont believe 6lb is enough. "Get me out of here" wouldn"t look out of place in this years Champion hurdle to me!
£150 e/w 14/1 Ladbrokes
£50 e/w 12/1 Tote, Tote Gold Trophy, Newbury 12,2,11£8600
