Great minds think alike sir!
Have you done anything with years winnings? Or solely a nice kitty?

Get on
Gullible Gordon
for the Grand National JJM,he was taking to the race like a duck to water! As for my winnings,i spend every penny on Girls!
November 21, 2010 at 21:29 #329149This thread started on April Fools day, appropriately! It will finish on April 9th 2011 all being well to allow me to complete my Ante-Post wagers for the Grand National. My first selection has to be the aptly named
Gullible Gordon
and i have managed to get 50/1 with Stan James, this fellow was really warming to the task before an awkward collision with Irish Raptor brought him down, his current mark of 142 would already guarantee him a place in the line up,of course if his stable mate Denman were to run,he and 90% of the field will be running with 10 stone on their backs! Its going to be an interesting build up to this years race! I have had £20 e/w at 50/1.
£6249
November 27, 2010 at 13:18 #330135One of my old pals is running today against Big bucks of all horses but with Howard Johnsons horses in such good form i shall hope rather than expect
Arcalis
to stay on for 2nd place over a 3m trip that could suit the old boy,at 50/1 he is worth a tenner e/w!
£10 e/wArcalis
,50/1 Long distance hurdle at Newbury!
£6229November 27, 2010 at 14:04 #330145I have had one bet in this years Hennessey up to now and have covered the race many times, all the 2nd season chasers are major players but the big 4 are all less than 10/1,i have had a bet on
Thetotherone
at 33/1 as this is a hardened handicapper who will get every yard of this trip and with his jockeys claim should run a very big race for one so highly priced!
£25 e/wThetotherone
at 33/1.
£6179
November 27, 2010 at 15:39 #330165The Hennessey Gold Cup will see either Kauto Star or Denman shouldering top weight, that will leave hardly a horse in the handicap proper! I believe one of the 2nd season chasers could take this years renewal and the one that i believe is a Hennessey horse is
Diamond Harry
,i thought this before he even jumped a fence and nothing since has changed my mind,he is a fine big stamp of a beast who will feel he has been let loose with just 10-0 on his back! I have had £100 e/w at 8/1 with Hills of real money and will lump on with my pretend money against Mr Fists challenge/Duel!
That went absolutely, unbelievably well! One of TAPK"s most satisfying bit of foresight Ever!

Excellent stuff Wingman! I do enjoy the odd Burger King now and again though,i tend to have one if i need comfort food when i lose! Thats why i haven"t had one for a couple of years!

December 3, 2010 at 20:27 #331060Haven’t you thought about taking advantage of Ladbrokes Non Runner No Bet offer TAPK? Thought it would be right up your street.
December 3, 2010 at 21:59 #331071Haven’t you thought about taking advantage of Ladbrokes Non Runner No Bet offer TAPK? Thought it would be right up your street.
Yoh Nulty,as you quite rightly say,it is right up my street! I tip my Crown to Ladbrokes for doing something i never thought i"d ever see, "Ante-Post NRNB"! Ok so they are only doing it for a couple of races at Cheltenham but its a start,if you compare prices over the whole spectrum of Bookmakers its pretty obvious that they have shortened up a fair few but i believe their is potential to play! Both
Sizing Europe
and
Tidal Bay
,2 former winners of the Arkle are priced at 16/1 and 40/1 respectively, the Arkle is a good pointer to Gold Cup horses recently and i can see both these 2 being half the price on the day if turning up! if they dont you get your money back!
Weird Al
has question marks hanging over him after his dismal No show in the Hennessey but at 50/1 he is a bet to nothing as he will probably reappear in the Pillar Chase and show his true potential back on his favourite track, again if he doesn"t get there its money back! There are opportunitys for sure Nulty! I haven"t speculated myself just yet but will!
December 5, 2010 at 00:07 #331198I have plumbed for
Kempes
in the King George at 33/1 NRNB,
Somersby
in the Champion NRNB(all will be revealed next weekend, I think he was tired at the end of his last race) and
Pandorama
in the Gold Cup at 50/1 NRNB. All good horses in their own right but the trading position is one that should not be missed. Remembering that all will be refunded should they not run, if they show enough to warrant a place in their perspective races then they will not be the price they currently are. I don’t expect to be trading out of them but its an added opportunity – or a savings account!
December 7, 2010 at 10:35 #331461I"m not going to shout this one from the rooftops as i have stated previously last seasons RSA was full of future winners and not just handicappers! Little Josh has to be respected but i am of the belief if David Pipe thinks
Great Endeavour
is worth taking his chance, particularly on these revised terms then i am happy to stay loyal to this improving Grey! I have just thrown a tenner at
Calgary Bay
at 33/1 just in case!
£100 e/w William hill
Great Endeavour
9/1
£7400
December 10, 2010 at 10:02 #331885Right then this first race at Cheltenham today,as per usual i look at the final decs and do a very non Gingerish thing and that is price the field to what i believe is accurate, just in my head and it takes me all of 5 minutes to do! I made Spirit River and
Reve de Sivola
joint favs at 2/1,i wake up this morning and see 5/4 Spirit River, 4/1 Reve de Sivola! TAPK"s a country mile out,not for the first time i hasten to add! On closer inspection i still maintain its between the 2 but if you look at the paths they have taken to get here i believe Reve de Sivola has the better chance,Spirit river has taken the handicap route where as Reve de sivola has taken a more classy novice route. Where i see a distinct bias to Reve de Sivola is in the fact that both horses ran at the festival here in March,Spirit River won the Coral Cup carrying 11-2 and jumped 10 flights over 2m 5f in 2m 5secs,the race was run at an acceptable pace throughout and Spirit river ran on gamely. However Reve de sivola ran in the Grade 1 nov hurdle over the same course jumping the 10 flights in 5m 2secs carrying 5lb more than Spirit River and that race was ran at a good gallop,it was a quality race! The Ascot Gold Cup winner ran in it and Reve de Sivola finished 2nd to none other than Peddlars Cross! I shall take a chance that
Reve de Sivola
i s fit enough to win this and at 4/1 i feel he is over priced! We"ll see!
£100 win
Reve de Sivola
4/1
£7300
December 10, 2010 at 12:04 #3319055-4 Spirit River now?
Im pleased as punch with the 5-2 I got off Hills yesterday now then, could be very generous.
December 10, 2010 at 12:46 #331914Nicely done TAPK
