I know this thread is a bit old but I thought I would share some thoughts with you Belly.
Pro-Punting can be:
When you win:
It’s great, all of the staking plans work and generally you win more than you thought you would. Everyone’s your pal and you’ve never had it so good or got cash so easily.
When you lose:
It’s frustrating, annoying, you get so lost in thought that you can’t speak, you notice how lonely and bored you are.
The most important thing I would suggest is that, winning and losing are statistical facts, not victories and defeats, from an emotional point of view. Remove emotions from the process and guard yourself from gambling addiction. Get hobbies away from horse racing and don’t tell anyone what your up to, keep in touch with reality. Don’t drink when you’re betting. If your doing it as a Pro it’s not a hobby anymore, so you need new ones.
You’ve got to find a margin in your favour and get your cut every day. Learn not to bet when you shouldn’t and then go for it when you do.
Pro-Punting is hard and you don’t know how you’ll cope with it until you give it a go. Everyones different.
Good Luck.
