Looks like a match between Saffron Beach, super impressive at Ascot, and Tenebrism, equally as impressive against colts in the Prix Jean Prat.
Personally, I don’t want to split them as I’m not convinced either way of whether Tenebrism stays the mile or not.
Lusail sort of let the form down of the Prat at Goodwood but then again Modern Games finished just in behind Baeed, take it as you will.
Saffron had Thunder Beauty over 3 lengths back in 2nd, she went on to skittle the opposition in a listed race.It’s a really intriguing race. There is also some decent looking group 3 action on the undercard with runners brought over by Charlie Appleby, Michael Bell and Charlie Hills.
I liked the 5/1 on offer in the 1210 for Hidden Dimples, didn’t look to stay 12 furlongs, hopefully dropped back down to 10f will suit better. She had La Parisienne behind her 2 runs back and that one finished a close 2nd to Nashwa in the French Oaks. Drying ground will help.Prix Rothschild – No Bet

a mile is certainly not out of the question though especially in a french race where they tend to go steady early and sprint late. Saffron is the most likely but if I can get 2/1+ on the O’Brien horse I’ll be playing.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
IMO TENEBRISM DOES NOT GET A MILE which makes it easier for Saffron Beach and the only danger I can see is Malavath who if there had been eight runners would have been a good each way bet at 25/1 but only seven runners means it would be a no bet race for me BUT I can get 14/1 three places with bet365 and 12/1 two places without the fav so had to have a dabble.
Saffron beach got a bit worked up in the parade ring according to the presenter in france on sky sports racing
Tenebrism ran a good race but saffron beach simply stayed the trip much stronger than her
