Bit of a sweeping statement big man.

He was a huge disaapointment behind another Godolphin horse Passion For Gold in his only Group 1 effort to date but he was given a more than tender ride when his chance had gone. He looked as green as a Scottish fir that day and was running all over everything in the early stages.

Certainly seems to be improving though and won with a lot up his sleeve last time out.

Fabre was talking about him going to the States but that was knocked on the head and he now runs in the Godolphin colours.

He holds the same 3 emtries as Rewilding The Juddmonte The Great Voltiguer and the St Leger.

I’m keeping my beady eye on him as I think he could be end up being Godolphin’s main Leger horse as he seems to have a lot more potential than Rewilding.

Anyone know what St Nicholas Abbey is doing in the first week of October?!

Was reading he’s now back in work and doing very well.

He is definitely the Joker in the pack and don’t forget how highly they regard him….."This horse could walk on water" from a man who says very little says it all.

54 on the machine isn’t bad for a horse related to Jesus

    Came across this:-

Arc tilt for two Japanese Grade 1 winners 26 Jul 2010
    ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk

A pair of Japanese Grade 1 winners are to be sent to Europe to target the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe after prep races on the Longchamp trials card three weeks beforehand.

Victoire Pisa, winner of the Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2,000 Guineas) in April, will be joined by the four-year-old Nakayama Festa as Japan bids to land the world’s greatest turf race for the first time.

Having won the Guineas, Victoire Pisa was third in the Tokyo Yushun (Derby) a month later.

He is scheduled to travel to France on August 13 before running in the Prix Niel, the most reliable Arc trial, on September 12.

Trainer Katsuhiko Sumii said: "Three-year-old colts have an advantage at the weights in the Arc but I want to train him to get acclimatised to the heavy ground of Longchamp racecourse."

Sumii has enjoyed plenty of success abroad, including notable top-level successes in the US, where he saddled Cesario to win the American Oaks at Hollywood Park in 2005, and the unforgettable Melbourne one-two in 2006 with Delta Blues and Pop Rock.

Victoire Pisa will be ridden by Yutaka Take, who partnered the great Deep Impact to finish third to Rail Link in 2006, twelve years after a controversial effort on White Muzzle.

Behkabad is the 2010 Arc winner.

Laughed at Planteur when that one ‘tried’ to challenge him..this monster has the lot but most of all an iron will to win, no wonder the 10s have gone

agreed non-runners don’t win, and F&G is fairly paceless against the very best grp1 animals, why d’ya think he was only 6th last year? Behkabad, simples.

yeah behkabad looks a good runner, but personal preference is for F&G, there is no STS or Conduit to beat this year, and i think the horse is still improving. i also still think workforce is a very big price at 12/1. after all, it is a derby winner, and has had 1 run after that, and was a big flop. maybe the bigger field will aid towards workforce in the arc.

this years breeders cup turf will be very interesting, seeing what runs in it.

I love your confidence Bucksy,so much so i have had a close look at your horse and having cast my eye over

    Bekhabad

i can see why you are so bullish,he is a beast who gallops at quite a rate of knots, but then again so does

    Fame and Glory

    and

    Workforce

,they can both quicken off a fast pace too,can yours?

Not sure F&G can ‘quicken" tbh chief, bit of a soldier of fortune type stayer isn’t he and am sure you’re aware of the fate of arc runners who ‘try it again’…Workforce was beaten 3f out in the KG so has a major cloud over him, despite your big odds he’s a big price just to turn up…I would say of course Behkabad has to prove his class, but the way he ‘quickened’ away from Planteur and was eased up near the line suggests to me he has it :!:

It’s too hard to call a winner so I’ve had a little each way on Simon De Montfort and Snow Fairy (can’t wait for her to annihilate the field in the yorkshire oaks), she’ll make Dar Re Mi and Sariska look like they’re in slow motion.

See, I would absolutely love to see Snow Fairy have a go at the St Leger – but what would I know?

So don't run, just like the others always do

She’d love the St Ledger distance but connections will see how weak the Arc is this year and know they’ll never have a better chance. Especially with soft ground

Loaded up again on Bek earlier at 8s. Annoyed, was going to do him at 10s on Wednesday and another double with Midas Touch but for some reason didn’t. Grrrr.

I just cannot figure out Midas Touch. Can anyone help me.He seems like a bit of a one paced type to me.Are we backing him for the Leger? How do you view Aidan and Janvermeer?Putting him away ’till next year he suggested.
