Shame you can’t stop the season now as 4th is the best you can hope for. Probably be 5th tomorrow evening and 6th within a week or so with United breathing hard down your neck for that place.
With Suarez buggering off to Madrid (£70M release clause) in the summer so he can play CL football and Everton being the best team in Merseyside, again, Rodgers should be joining Moyes down the job centre.
You’re not singing anymore.
January 31, 2014 at 23:16 #466657Liverpool are by far the most entertaining team to watch, Suarez the most exciting player. I’m disappointed we’re only 4th.
Suarez is having an unbelievable season. Its about time he starts getting some credit for what he’s doing out there.
February 3, 2014 at 17:51 #466974He’ll get credit at the end of the season when he wins PFA player of the year, PFA players player of the year and FWA player of the year.
Rubbish results yesterday, why is Rodgers so hell bent on a winger when defence is clearly the problem area? Kolo Toure had a torrid afternoon and looked worse then a Sunday league centre back making his pub league debut.
Massive game tonight, expect City will try to break up Chelsea in midfield and play counter attacking football while Mourinho might play for a draw and resort to "18th century" football he criticised west ham with. If Chelsea didn’t drop points they could of afforded a loss but a loss tonight will theoretically hand City six points.
February 4, 2014 at 00:58 #466998Chelsea beats City! Huge loss for Man City, but definitely a statement win for the blues.

So again Mourinho proves why he’s the best there is, an absolute tactical genius.
February 4, 2014 at 16:34 #467052Everyone expected Mourinho would park the bus, lock up shop and play for a draw like he did away to Arsenal. The result wasn’t surprising but the manner of victory was, didn’t let City score and it could of been a larger margin then 0-1. Matic and Luiz outplayed Yaya and Demichiles for the whole game and Chelsea’s defence is better then City’s IMO. Willian and Hazard can defend and attack, maybe he didn’t like Mata because he isn’t good getting back and putting in a shift defending and doing dirty work. Shocking the amount of City fans who thought they would win every home game… This isn’t SPL or the Bundesliga.
Between City and Chelsea for me now, can’t see Arsenal winning the league with the points they will be dropping and Liverpool were out of the title race when we took nothing from City and Chelsea. Don’t know why Mourinho is saying Cheslea are a little horse and he’d be ‘thrilled’ to finish second, he’s a natural winner who wins cups at every club he’s managed and I’m not buying it.
Looking forward to Liverpool v Arsenal; United, Chelsea, City and Spurs usually get outplayed at Anfield but Arsenal come wanting to give us a game.
February 8, 2014 at 15:52 #467532Expected we’d thrash spurs, thought we’d see off Everton comfortably but I was anxious about Arsenal. You’ll never see better football then the first twenty minutes today; the pace was lightning and the passing was poetry. Even when Suarez doesn’t score you can tell he’s one of the worlds best players, Flanagan was superb, Sterling has a big future, Coutinho was a better buy at £8m than Ozil for £42m, Gerrard was like Pirlo, defence was impenetrable. Sturridge now has 29 goals in 36 games for Liverpool and can only improve.
Only concern is we battered them so hard they’ll want revenge next Sunday, Fulham midweek could be another blitz of goals.
Draw in the Spurs game tomorrow please…

Nah, the blind manager will be thinking Champions League, Premiership, finish top 4. The FA Cup means nothing it is the very last thing on his list of priority’s. I predict he’ll play the kids and reserves and they get another 5 goal battering.

Almost, can’t have everything go your way I suppose. PMSL at United.
February 12, 2014 at 22:31 #467899Massive win for Liverpool tonight.
February 13, 2014 at 00:48 #467909Liverpool will finish in the top four if we keep playing the way we’re playing, no doubt about that. I am confident we can take at lest 40 points from the next 57
17/21 thus far.
Essential win after Spurs hammered Newcastle, Gerrard’s influence on the game was massive and he looks more and more like Pirlo every game. Can’t believe Chelsea sold Sturridge for £12m, some clubs pay quadruple for a striker and don’t get that goal return.
February 13, 2014 at 00:51 #467910Tottenham fans will think they’re only three points off 4th, in reality they’re four points behind us.
February 13, 2014 at 10:37 #467921The FA Cup tie now looks a no lose situation for L’Pool, I hope we progress as it still represents the best chance of silverware but if we go out then March, April and May will just be league games only whilst the Chelsea, City and even Arsenal to a degree will have European tiredness to contend with although I cant see Arsenal progressing. If this is the case and with a look at the fixture list L’Pool can not be written off yet but away form will have to improve as a massive result as it was last night it took all of 90 mins to achieve against possibly the weakest side in the division.

February 16, 2014 at 19:36 #468271Disappointing result but a good performance, Fabianski and Howard Webb were outstanding for Arsenal today.
February 23, 2014 at 15:27 #468918Another massive three points earned today, sounded as if we were sixes and sevens at the back but six clear of the spuds will heap all the pressure on them… C’mon Norwich.
February 23, 2014 at 15:59 #468924An overhaul needed at the back and a central defensive midfielder needed too imo, attack brilliant yet again though. God be with the days of Hyypia and Henchoz…
Hopefully Norwich will nick something off Spurs later on.
