That brought tears to my eyes. Tears of sorrow or tears of joy? I cannot say but at least your lad got a laugh out of it and as the saying goes – laughter costs you nothing. Enjoy the chips and the memory. Even if you’d got to the top of Everest, what’s there to see? Just a load of hills and snow.
