Which horses from Ascot will take out and think they can win races later this year here a few of mine
MR SINGH.
Was 2nd on friday Gosden has run leger winners here Arctic Cosmos got beat in this race. And for me MR Singh can be a leger horse he need to improve but can find more improvement as long he not make the running.
FREE EAGLE
No doubt was lucky to win if the 2nd got out early he won.But this Weld horse not had a lot of starts and can easily be a arc horse 16/1 with Coral.
June 21, 2015 at 20:54 #1110038For all Ryan Moores brilliance he got caught out on 2 absolute certainties Darren, one was your horse Sir Isaac Newton who has to win a Group 1 now and my Kingfisher who would have powered clear in the Gold cup.Found blatantly needs further and Ballydoyle too.Had these four won then Bookmakers would have lost Millions.
June 21, 2015 at 22:01 #1110437Time Test – Want to back it for the International at York, even if Golden Horn turns up. It was a top class Group 1 performance in a Group 3 contest.
The Corsican – Being held up in a slowly run 1m2f didn’t suit his way of running; and then had to wait for a gap. Lot has been made of The Grey Gatsby and Cannock Chase being unlucky in running, but this horse was also disadvantaged. Not that he would’ve won, just been a lot closer with a greater test of stamina/luck in running. Still didn’t stop him showing a career best performance. Convinced more luck and/or greater stamina test will see him do even better. King George outsider worth a wager.
Muhaarar – Top class sprinting performance. Will be a danger to the Yank and Aussie in the July Cup and beyond.
Beware of backing any Ballydoyle horse next time out. Stable were in cracking form all week and unlikely to be next time – so may not quite reproduce the form.
The “four” year old – Acapulco – if turning up for the Nunthorpe (wait until the day) – don’t know what those Americans feed their horses, but it sure does make them big and “athletic” ! But – Muthmir – might be a better ante-post bet for that race. Pulled too hard early-on in Kings Stand.
If there was a future Classic winner on show, I don’t think it won a race – Air Force Blue.
Kingfisher might have been unlucky in the Gold Cup, but only “might”. Trip To Paris finds plenty under presure and was not put under maximum driving. It wasn’t a great field, but the winner is progressive and been in good form whilst the rest of the yard have been pretty poor. May be able to find more improvement once the stable gets in to gear. However, don’t want to take a price for next year if connections decide to go to Melbourne. Whilst this was a below par Gold Cup and Coolmore might have a better one than Kingfisher next year.
Value Is EverythingJune 22, 2015 at 11:44 #1110975Same as above really. Sir Isaace Newton was unlucky and is improving all the time. The Corsican showed that he is also improving rapidly and looks well up to contesting major group races.
I would throw Provance in too, only second attempt at 10f and ran well held up off the pace, despite getting worked up before hand.
June 22, 2015 at 12:34 #1111022Mahsoob – improving at a rate of knots with each run. One to follow.

June 22, 2015 at 16:37 #1111350I thought Balios for David Simcock/Jamie Spencer was very nice for such an inexperienced horse. I look forward to seeing him again.
June 22, 2015 at 16:46 #1111365Royal Ascot has a fantastic record of producing big races winners. Any number of horses can be taken out of this year’s races but I like Time Test in particular
June 23, 2015 at 10:23 #1112850Amazour Libran and Pearl Secret were all to greater or lesser degrees unfortunate and compensation awaits for all of them next time I think. Hopefully at decent prices!!
