January 25, 2005 at 10:51 #57368La Perrotine is an excellent selection, it’s today’s bet for me.
Good Luck with it.

January 25, 2005 at 19:29 #57370Well Done today Paul, I thought Ela Re might win the other race but not confident enough to have a bet on either.

January 25, 2005 at 23:59 #57372Hi dave
Thanks for your thoughts, interestingly on retrospect I would not have included the second horse as a bet, however I did, but still basically a neutral day.
With any system there will be ups and down, however at the moment it is just flat over the last week. Still needs to be reviewed on 31st Dec!
January 26, 2005 at 12:08 #57373True … :cool:

January 29, 2005 at 16:19 #57379Either today later, or tomorrow I will do some analysis to review how successful this system is, projected profits etc etc
Disappointed today in not moving forward, but equally not moving back, but we could have made a hat full of points if those two seconds had gone one better.
Still at least using superodds made a bit of cash!
January 29, 2005 at 16:20 #57380These results include pre posting horeses, as you will see this does not improve the overall results, but will give potentially a better idea of how well the system MAY perform in the future.
Final revised system was started on 13th Oct
Total profit = +35.71pts
Oct = 8.78 pts
Nov = 7.45 pts
Dec = 4.82 pts
Jan = 14.66 pts
Total number of bets = 92
Strike Rate = 53%
Average price = 1.81 (between 7/4 and 15/
Average predicted points per month = 10.2 pts
Placed horses = 77
Strike Rate = 84%
Extrapolated results = 122.4 pts/year
HOWEVER target = 50 pts/year
Therefore target to 31st Dec = 35.34 pts
Longest lossing run = 7
Using the combined system with near miss selections
Total points = +44.21 pts
Total number of bets = 127
Strike rate = 50%
Average price = 1.88 (15/
Average price per month = 12.6 pts
Placed horses = 98
Strike rate = 77%
Longest losing run = 7
SUMMARY
Although the combined system has produced more points, the reduced S/R means that by using randomised statistical analysis this could produce potentially longer losing runs than the normal selections alone.
However I will continue to post both selections and see how they progress and do another report at the end of Feb.
Hope this is some use to those of you that are following the selections, please let me know what you think.
Cheers
January 29, 2005 at 16:45 #57381Hi Paul, I’m glad you continued posting, despite the slings and arrows .. :biggrin: .. well done!
Your results are vey good and I always nip in to see how you are getting on and what you are up to. Because I think this system is well worth following.
I think your projected profits are reasonably realistic, but I would want to watch it for a season on the flat before getting involved with the hard earned .. on the other hand your average priced winner is relatively low and although profits from October are 37%ish, I doubt that this will be sustained after the Cheltenham Festival. Not meaning to be critical, just my opinion!
Thanks for posting and well done today .. break even is good …. :biggrin:
