I’ve played the real whacker , he’s carrying a monster weight but he’ll get a number of these way out of there comfort zone with his jumping , played e.w, I’m still to be convinced Stage Star is top notch horse , I’m worried about the form of his Cheltenham win , at bigger Authorised Art ain’t a Mullins star however he,s fit and ran a cracker in the Galway plate , if the TRW and SS go hard I’m hoping he doesn’t get involved and can pick up a place late on
November 18, 2023 at 14:26 #1670901Get in!
November 18, 2023 at 14:29 #1670902He did well to win after the error at the last, which went completely unnoticed by the commentator.
November 18, 2023 at 14:31 #1670903Well done Eamonn, Mike and anyone else on.
He did well to stay on his feet and keep momentum after the last- it was a similar mistake to BMG’s in the Charlie Hall.November 18, 2023 at 14:31 #1670904WD winners, great performance and well done Cobden to pick him up after the last.

November 18, 2023 at 14:31 #1670905WD winners .
Stage Star certainly proved the doubters wrong
And there were quite a fewNovember 18, 2023 at 14:31 #1670906Guessed at bit at the last but he is a fair level above this lot and did really well to pick up again after coming to a virtual standstill – hopefully the horse is ok after that.
Wouldn’t mind seeing him and Allaho trading blows on the front end in the Ryanair.
November 18, 2023 at 14:40 #1670909With Stage Star’s record both at this time of year and first time out… Unlike most horses – not having a run this season was always likely to be an advantage rather than a disadvantage.
Value Is EverythingNovember 18, 2023 at 14:41 #1670910Ta all.
wd winners.
One or two may warm to him now ;o)
November 18, 2023 at 14:43 #1670911I was on him at the festival so why I wasn’t today…..

November 18, 2023 at 14:45 #1670912He won fair and square but I still think Whacker is the better horse , I reckon he blew up like last season and should come in a bundle for it , time will tell , great piece of training by Nicholls to get him fit first time up
November 18, 2023 at 14:47 #1670913Can’t compare HDLG ones a stayer the other more of a 2 and a half miler.
November 18, 2023 at 16:47 #1670934Nice one Mike and all those on the winner
Well done Ginge with the after race Advantage/disadvantage for Stage Star, you can’t beat a bit of hindsight
I was on the winner and runner up today and the distance between them was about the same as it was in the Turners. The third that day didn’t have the race to suit and the form stacks up. Mighty Potter could have been some horse this year..Blackbeard to conquer the World
November 18, 2023 at 18:50 #1670942Mike Nicholls has already said he ‘ll try his horse at 3 but at a flat track
November 18, 2023 at 19:36 #1670950I suspect he has the King George in mind.
