No market yet, but once priced up, I’ll be betting Midnight Our Fred. Second last year, before flopping big time at Cheltenham. Comeback run was decent though, and I’ll have a go.

I’ll bet Waterford Whispers early as well, as this is the type I like here, and he’s got to have more to offer surely.

Shanbally Kid is a horse I’m increasingly thinking about for Aintree or Fairyhouse, and he’s in here off a crazy mark.

Kim Roque has quickly became my big hope for the season, in that I think by the end of it, he’ll have shown himself to be very good. I’m just hoping he goes to Cheltenham.

I was happy enough with A Penny A Hundred on Saturday, and sure she’s got a good handicap in her, though it may be something like The Leinster National though. Still on the radar.

Pied Pier just adds to the confusion, but I’m hoping he’s got Cheltenham as his goal

Always an ultra competitive race, and I’m sure more will jump out, but this is one of my biggest betting races of the season, and I’d happily have a swing at the three of them

With 20’s holding for Shanbally Kid, I’ve covered him, while I’ve been swayed towards A Wave Of The Sea, a horse I used to bet regularly

I’m happy to let Waterford Whispers go in without betting him, even if I give him a huge chance here.

A bigger problem is Pied Piper. I’m waiting him out for NH Chase, but given his mad odds here, I may have to cover.

This is always a big betting race for me, and at moment, with potentially four running for me, I’ve covered Shanbally Kid to cover the stakes only at this stage, given it’s his first run, and I really do like him for Fairyhouse

    Edit – Shanbally laid back

I’m with Waterford Whispers 12/1, and Will Do 14/1

It’s a race to have an outsider as well, so I’ve thrown in Noble Birth 33/1 ew

    Backmersackme 13-1 ew 5 places

Ran 2nd to Three Card Brag who then ran 2nd in the Coral Gold Cup. Only up 1 pound for that run.

Not decided yet if I’ll add another.

I like Will The Wise in this.

Cromwell was 1-110 in November. He’s already bounced back in December.

It was his first run vs seasoned chasers and he showed up well i thought. The race he was second in at Galway hasn’t worked out too badly, and i noticed Cromwell had the 2 winners the 2 years before, and both went on to win decent handicaps. Percival Legallois won that race + went on to win this last year.

Eoin Staples is a good claimer + with his 7pds off it should mean he’s favourably weighted if continuing to improve. The ground will be good, and i think with his style of racing this will suit more than at Navan.

No HDB horses for me, he is 1 from his last 37 and that’s enough to neglect him. My bets are:

Captain Cody 12/1 WIN (small saver)
    Will Do 14/1 WIN
Midnight Our Fred 14/1 WIN (main bet)
    Favori De Champdou 40/1 EW

I’ll throw a couple darts at Wave of the Sea and Sandor Clegane, who I can’t seem to get into my thick head is simply no good.

Blizzard of Oz -going quite well at Newbury till he clobbered one
You Oughta know- likes this ground, decent claimer on
Yeats Star- I just like him. Not too big but he has little weight and doesn’t have to jump out of deep ground

Everything changed after JP managed to get in his Ted Walsh trained reserve Buachaillbocht in. The horse seems very well handicapped.
