OK not really a “Big race” but there isn’t a bad horse in it. Andy Dufresne rightful fav but since the sponsors are offered the win part of an ew back as a free bet if your horse finishes 2nd 3rd or 4th I’ve landed on Grangeclare Native at 16s who looks a nice sort, to have an interest, but I could have gone with any of the others.
February 23, 2020 at 12:24 #1483686I never get carried away with Novice Hurdlers, but I really did think that the performance of Andy Dufresne at Navan last November was something special. I immediately thought Gold Cup horse.
Obviously his runs since then have been very underwhelming, but I’m just hoping he gets back on track today.
No bet for me here, just hoping Andy Dufresene can put in a big run.
February 23, 2020 at 13:48 #1483693Even with the 6lb penalty it should fall to the favourite here, although he didn’t look
to have won so cosily last time, having to be pushed out. I think he’s a bit short, even
if there is only a small question mark, so I’m going to take a chance, and side with Green,
that Grangeclare Native takes to hurdling. This is his 1st time over them but he did show
a good attitude when getting the better of the favourite last time out in a NHF race at
Punchestown. I’ve taken the 20/1 E/W with Bet365February 23, 2020 at 14:07 #1483695Another one for Grangeclare Native ew here.
February 23, 2020 at 15:29 #1483698Ours was too big and slow and had a gentle school round the back with Fighter Allen. Great finish, winner did well to hang on.
February 23, 2020 at 15:48 #1483703I reckon you’re right Green, they achieved what they set out to do with
GN, and that was to introduce him to hurdles and give him a bit of confidence.
I thought he looked a tad on the burly side too. I’d expect a fair bit of
improvement next time out. A good finish nonetheless
