I have just heard that Paddy Brennan has received a 7 day ban at Stratford today but didn’t hear what he done. Did anyone see the race?

I saw it, his horse took another one down by going directly infront of it.

Placings werent changed but the ban was given.

It look justified to be honest

Thanks for letting me know what happened. It does sound justified and he really should have been more careful. I hope the horse he brought down was ok.

Both horse and rider bounced straight back up.

Both horse and rider bounced straight back up.

Literally. Although the jockey bounced twice.

He’s actually received a nine-day suspension starting on 28th September, which means he’ll have to miss the valuable Chepstow meeting on October 11th (for many the first day of the jump season "proper").

The only consolation is that he’ll be able to ride at the 2-day Perth meeting next week where, if precedent is anything to go by, he’ll be guaranteed at least six winners for NTD.

Very true on the Perth detail, Highflyer. NTD can usually be expected to give one or two fair novices their seasonal bows at that fixture – I certainly remember Knowhere turning out this time two years ago at Scone Palace.

Twister is always good to watch out for early in the season.

Bindaree made his chase debut there some years ago if I recall correctly (it may have been his second start ~ I was enormously embarrassed by tipping up Major Sponsor against him).
