Could be an exciting weekend for the TRF’ers involved with Outlaw Tom as he’s been entered for the Borders National. Trip and ground look like they’ll suit after he showed last time at Hexham he relished 4 miles and an easy surface.
He’ll get in bang on the 10 stone mark (as things stand at the minute) so it looks a decent opportunity to have a crack at it.
Connections will be taking a look at how the race shapes up (and he’s far from likely to run) but it’s quite exciting even to have the prospect that he might!!!
November 28, 2011 at 20:54 #380089Darn it. Mike really wanted us to go to the Borders National this year, but too short staffed at work and annoying stuff like that. Have a good day. Was it last year it snowed or the year before [lose track…]

It snowed last year. Started the day after Musselburgh’s late November meeting and, in Fife at least, there was snow more or less everyday through to Christmas.
Rain might be the problem this time …

November 30, 2011 at 10:54 #380299Tempted to make the trip if he runs – and for the lunch in Rosies Bistro – but shackled with having Breakfast with Santa at Dobbies. Must get these priorities sorted. Enjoy the day to the followers who might make it if Tom makes the trip (no problem with him making the trip on the course I hasten to add after Hexxy!).
C’mon Tom!!!!!
