I agree GM, not fit today but still won.
If he were a certain runner I’d be backing Illinois for the Ascot Gold Cup. But may well go for the Coronation Cup first… and not much time between the two races. So the odds today are all about chance of running rather than winning at Ascot.I seem to remember Coolmore kept was it Septimus or Scorpion or both away from Yeats in the Gold Cup.

Ed Chamberlin was banging on about 50-1 having been available for AOB to win all four of the big races on the first two days.
Wish I had seen that; the acca paid 26.43-1, and you would have had the second strings running for you as well.
He won much easier than the distance suggested. Was really just a run out before tougher assignments. Not sure he’s got the toe for a coronation cup though. Depends who he is up against.
