Maybe I’m mistaken, but I thought David Pipe was training this horse now. However, he’s just won a Group 3 hurdle at Auteuil today – for Arnaud Chaille-Chaille. Seems rather odd, sending him to Pipes yard for such a short time. Maybe all parties decided he was more suited to France. Pity really, as I was really looking forward to seeing him run in England a bit more.

Yeah he went back over to France, Darren. I was looking forward to seeing him more in the UK too :(

Like yourselves I was surprised at this news.

In one of the ‘stable tours’ prior to Cheltenham, I’m sure Pipe mentioned that he was sending the horse back to France but gave no reason why. I thought the horse showed a lot of promise on its debut at Ascot and I was keen to see him run again.

    Strange move.

Maybe the owners sent him to Pipe as a warm up for the French season. Who knows! A deubt 3rd to Master Minded really isnt that poor a run and I wouldve liked to of seen David Pipe given a couple of months with this horse.

Then again, wasnt 2m5f his optimum distance and there was a distinct lack of top races at this distance over here?

Not certain that Pipe had too much say in the matter tbh.

Great to see one of my favourite’s Miserable back in form with a 2nd – just about his best run since winning the Congress at 60/1 last November. Good horse for a decent, small, up and coming trainer :)

They’d be daft to send ONDS back over 3m+ and fences as he patently doesn’t stay the trip and has a better chance just staying in the 2 1/2m hurdle races.

Wasn’t to pleased at the news he had gone back myself- had backed him ante post for the Ryanair Chase! Strange goings on, didn’t think he ran too badly at Ascot.
