How anyone can compare what a novice chaser clocks over 2m to what an experienced 12yo clocks over 21/2m cannot be taken seriously!

Good God – you’ve morphed into Ginger!

And you have gone from reet hard to flacid and limp! Try a Viagra that might help you tell the difference between Soft and rock hard!

What both you and Reet fail to realise is that good/good to soft ground as it was at Aintree is the most likely ground to change quite markedly within a couple of hours.

If for example it’s raining during a race the ground will normally be fairly easy to go through.

If the ground is recovering from a downfall ie and starting to dry out again it can become tacky and slow horses down.

An hour after you have raced if their’s a drying wind the ground could be a lot less holding.

Using times when there’s rain about a few hours before or during can throw you out amile.

Medermit also jumped a fence less that the others did which can knock 2 or 3 seconds off the time. Too many variables to be name calling and arguing about which is pointless when your both wrong and I’m right

Medermit BTW did better than I thought he would looks like he could be ahalf decent chaser in the making.

I backed Poquelin and unlike some wasn’t cheering Monet Garden home at te time. I was too busy cursing BG,

Fine and Dandy saying Poquelin was ridden as though his jockey had more than just today on his mind..but when you are in a position to win a few kicks in the belly wouldn’t make an ounce of difference to what happens next month.

I’d say what was on BG mind was a bout zero and he failed to realize it was time to go on a horse who Ruby has always hit the front with between the 3rd last and 2nd last fence when he’s won

BG was never took the opportunity when it was there, probably didn’t do his homework, and basically it was a balls of a ride.

If Ruby had ridden the horse I doubt if he’d have ben beaten.

I backed the horse but you guys know me well enough to know sour grapes isn’t my thing and I say it as I see it.

Dougie Costello on the otherhand was brilliant. As I said before the race how no one has grabbed this guy and said he’s mine is beyond belief.

I’d go as far to say when AP McCoy retires Jonjo doesn’t have far to look for a replacement, 9years AP’s junior he’d be the perfect man for the job. No one will ever replace AP as such but Dougie Costello has it all. Brilliant horsesman, presents his horses well at a fence cool as a cucumber and really gets behind a horse in a tight finish.

To be perfectly frank he made BG look like a sack of potatoes on Saturday and he’s anything but.

Well done to Nicky Richards for getting Monet’s Garden there in such good condition his old man will be looking down with pride…great training performance.

I backed Monet’s Garden but I have to say I tend to agree with you Fist I think had Geraghty gone on slightly sooner Poquelin probably would’ve won. Costello on the other hand you watch him at the second last – as soon as the horse lands he kicks and shakes and asks the horse for maximum effort and the horse nicked a length which enabled him to get back on the inside and have the rail to run against. Magnificent race riding and that move I think won Monet’s Garden the race.

No, I disagree with you both, BG sent his horse to challenge several times and Poquelin couldn’t get there because MG quickened each time. If you watch the replay you will see that as clear as day. What won the race was the last jump and of course Dougie Costello wanted it as much as MG
