Was wondering if anyone has any stats on Official SP v Betfair sp.

ie, would Betfair’s SP be lower or higher on average?

Since 23 April 2011 to the 2.20 at Bangor today the average Offical SP for every winning Hurdler is 6.672 and the average Betfair SP is 8.833.

That’s 572 races in total and includes Deadheats but does not include R4 or Reduction Factors, and course you will need to adjust for commission and any other Betfair charges.

However, things do vary when considering different price ranges and also the odd freak result. I haven’t got time now but will do a proper breakdown for you tommorrow if it helps.
