    What is the percentage of winners of the first 2 favourites in the bettin in none handicapped horse races

    From Adrian Massey site:

    Flat races


    Since 01-Jan-04, 8,240 winners from 29,371 bets which is a SR of 28.10%. However the "system" shows a loss of £2,173 using £1 win-only bets.

    Results incl jt-favs & jt-2nd-favs

    Surely that statistic is either wrong, or a different one?

    I’m used to thinking that favourites win 1/3 of races.

    So how can the 1st & 2nd favourite only win 28% of non-handicaps?

    Erm, just worked it out. 28% of bets, rather than 28% of races. :oops:
