Where am I ?
I should be watching the tennis @ ‘home’ having just arrived. But missed the 1700 Red Jet from West Cowes to Southampton by two minutes – could have jumped on it if they had allowed me but no : Elf and Safety. Was on a ‘connecting bus with an ‘old’ lady bus driver who seemed to wait at stops and look around at the countryside, so consequently missed the Jet and my train @ 1800 – had to use another floating bridge ferry (£1.50) to cross the River Medina and head for the next ferry from East Cowes which takes a whole hour. Am now on the 20.00 from Southampton and will be arriving ‘home’ about 22.00 having had to purchase another advance ticket with trainline the online geek company that will not answer their phone. My whole 3 day travel trip accommodation ( free ) and food cost me £36 after deducting tax expenses. Now due to missing the Red Jet by two minutes the trip has now skyrocketed to £64. Still Ok but I think the hot weather sent my brain to sleep. I just didnt think to take a taxi !
I am on a course of heavy steroids just now which means I tend to sleep not at all or patchily – hence my two early morning posts including todays.
Big O left this smelling hotel caricature carcass by forming a new identity % man – now I was thinking this morning he may well be 100%.
Three days entertainment in 2021 – it’s still a £64 miracle.
Forum Reeks is surely a great choice for the stench emanating from these Halls from time to time over the years would have had even the hardiest reaching for the industrial-strength face mask.

Newport you cannot sail out of. But actually you can – when the river Medina is at a certain level and essentially with a low bottomed boat ( not more than 3 feet ) you can get out to the Solent.

I got that wrong possibly due to my medication – it is Newport you cannot bottle
